Monday June 5th State Secretary Kristina Sigurdsdottir Hansen of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries visited Cargill Aqua Nutrition’s plant at Westfield in Scotland.
The oldest part of Cargill Aqua Nutrition’s plant in Westfield, Scotland, about halfway between Edinburgh and Glasgow, was constructed as airplane hangar during World War 2.
Monday June 5 State Secretary Kristina Sigurdsdottir Hansen of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries visited the plant to get a glimpse into modern production methods for nutritious fish feed.

The Deputy Minister got at tour of the factory which has two production lines and a total capacity well north of 100.000 tons by plant manager Scott Lafferty.
“I’m honored to have the State Secretary Hansen and her party visiting and I greatly appreciate the opportunity explain a bit about how we produce high quality fish feed here at the plant in Westfield”, said Scott.
The Deputy Minister and her party made the stop at our Westfield plant on their way to a Scottish Norwegian seminar in Edinburgh titled “Collaborative sustainable growth in the aquaculture sector”.
